Background
Ninib Yakoub is a PhD student in the Clinical Science program at the University of Zurich. He has a background in clinical psychology and is interested in children's neuropsychological development. His main research projects are the MODE-PI study (movement patterns of prematurely born infants and their significance for mental development at school age) and the BrainDNIU study (influence of intrauterine growth restriction on brain development and consequences for later neurological development).
The MODE-PI study investigates how postnatal movement patterns are related to the development and behavior of the child at school age. The BrainDNIU study focuses on the brain development of children with intrauterine growth restriction, a condition in which a fetus does not reach its biological growth potential.
Research priorities
Ninib Yakoub is interested in human brain development and how neuropathological processes affect cognition and behavior in the long term. His research interests include neurodevelopment, motor development and statistical methods.
