Stephanie Brezina completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy with a focus on pediatrics at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). During her research internships and her final thesis, she already focused on the physiotherapeutic and interdisciplinary care of prematurely born children and their families. In addition to her practical work as a physiotherapist in the field of pediatrics, she is currently leading a project on Movement Imitation Therapy for Preterm Babies (MIT-PB) based on the work of Dr. Marina Soloveichick as a research associate at the University of Zurich, Clinic for Neonatology, University Hospital Zurich. This project was initiated together with Denise Etzweiler, Marine Goedert and Silke Scheufele, all also physiotherapists MSc, pediatrics, and is supervised by Prof. Dr. med. Giancarlo Natalucci.
Her research focuses on the physiotherapeutic care of prematurely born children and their families. She is particularly interested in the early physiotherapeutic support of prematurely born children and their families in the context of general movements.
